Python developer - student job

We are looking for a student to help us with programming tasks in Oslavany.

In this role, you will be programming parts of the domain model for our server-side application and its supporting infrastructures, such as database and RESTful API.

You will learn how to develop business logic in Python. Previous experience with Python is not required, but adequate programming skill is.

What you'll be doing

Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Implement domain model based on provided specification - entities, value objects, services, and repositories.
  • Implement “tactical” code such as data storage, synchronization, and event handling.
  • Improve authentication and authorization logic per provided instructions.
  • Write automated tests.
  • Improve code based on feedback and insights from other team members.
  • Participate in coordination meetings either in person in Oslavany or via video conference.

About you

You should have the following skills and experience:

  • Ongoing study of relevant specialization: informatics, natural sciences, or any field in which you learn math and programming.
  • Good programming skills, preferably in Python, or the ability to learn Python quickly from the existing codebase.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases, TCP/IP, and web frameworks.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to work a couple of hours weekly (outside the exam period).
