What you need to know before making the switch

Can I only choose specific information to import?

Our API allows you to import almost all files and records saved in the application.

If you need to import only some data, or there isn't too much data to be imported in general, it is recommended to do so via UI.

Can my data get lost if not imported correctly?

You should make sure to create backups of your data. This way, you will not lose anything even if the transition fails.

You should also keep the script or procedure used to import your data to help you solve any occurring problems.

How do I ensure a smooth transition?

Transition to a new software is usually divided into five steps:

1) Consider your IT situation - You should think about who needs access to the software, what internal systems it will need to work with, or if you need to buy new equipment like notebooks or tablets.

2) Establish a timeline - Consider how long it will take to migrate all data and users to the new software.

3) Prepare your data transitions - It is necessary to make backups of your data and prepare transition steps such as automation scripts to ensure a smooth operation.

4) Onboard and educate the users - Make sure your team is ready for the new software, and send them our introductory guides.

5) Get the support you need for migration - If you need to import or transfer a large amount of data, it is recommended to ask an expert. Managry offers import and transition support. Do not hesitate to contact us at support@managry.com.

How do I import data into the software?

There are two options: manually via UI or via integration API.

All Managry apps provide an API (application programming interface) to integrate third-party applications and import/export data. API is available in all plans.

Your technician can develop a simple script to transfer data from your existing system to Managry apps.

How much time and effort does the transition usually take?

Managry software is easy to use and learn. In addition, we offer onboarding tutorials and guides.

Software is ready to use right after purchase.

However, if you need to import existing data from a different system, it will require careful planning and can take from days to weeks, depending on the complexity of the data.

Is it beneficial to transfer to Current Timesheets from my current attendance software?

This is why we offer a free trial, so you can decide if our software is the right one for you.

You can leave the old data saved in your previous software and delete or transfer them later if you decide to utilize Managry software fully.

What data format is used?

Managry apps provide a RESTful API that uses JSON format for data exchange.

What help can I get when transferring?

Our support team provides you with:

  • Guidance in connection with installing the software, such as troubleshooting installation and upgrade issues.
  • Support for configuration, including troubleshooting configuration setting to ensure proper operation.
  • Guidance for API usage and data imports.
  • Help with identification of nature and cause of certain software behavior.

What type of information can I import?

Our API allows access to all data stored in the application. Most records used by Managry software can be imported or changed.

Will the data get changed while transferring?

If you have a suspicion your data got inadvertently altered when transferring, our support team will help you analyze and solve your problem.
